Gullane to North Berwick Walk
Meet Rachel, a young person fundraising for Kipawa
Our long-term supporter Rachel is no stranger to raising cash for Kipawa, having taken part in previous Kiltwalks and other fundraising efforts over the years. This summer, she’ channeling her passion for education and belief in Kipawa's impact into action. Through her Duke of Edinburgh bronze award, she's organising fundraising events to support our work providing free school meals and educational support to vulnerable children and families. Read on to find out about her projects and how you can get involved.
As part of my Duke of Edinburgh bronze award, I am volunteering for Kipawa by organising some fundraising events. I chose to support Kipawa because I trust it to genuinely make a difference in the lives of so many children and their families. Providing free school meals and other support encourages children to school, and I believe education is one of the most important things a child can have.
On Sunday 31st May, a group of my friends and I walked around 12km from Gullane to North Berwick, along the stunning East Lothian coast, and so far we have raised £1000 from our walk.I know this will make a real difference for Kipawa, so thank you so much to everyone who has donated. If you would like to donate, you still can using this link:

My next project for Kipawa is a charity coffee morning. It will be on Sunday 16th August at the recreation hall in Gullane, East Lothian from 11am-1pm. There will be cakes, refreshments and a small raffle, all to raise money for Kipawa. If you would like to come and support, or donate a raffle prize, that would be massively appreciated!
