Kipawa’s 2025 Annual Report: Celebrating a Year of Impact and Resilience
We are delighted to share our Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31st December 2025. In a year marked by significant economic challenges in Kenya and a stretched fundraising environment in the UK, the unwavering support of our community has allowed Kipawa to continue its vital work empowering vulnerable children and families in Ruiru.
Transforming Lives Through Partnership
During 2025, Kipawa successfully raised £42,175, an encouraging increase in fundraising compared to the previous year. These funds enabled us to disburse £50,000 to our long-standing partner in Kenya, Macheo. This support underpinned two primary interventions:
School Feeding Programme: We provided nutritious lunches to 750 children and porridge to 600 pupils across Mukuyu and Mutundu primary schools. These meals are essential for improving school attendance, health, and academic focus. Additionally, we delivered deworming services to nearly 950 pupils.
Family Needs-Based Model (FNBM): We supported 104 families, reaching 252 children with tailored interventions including healthcare access, counselling, and economic empowerment. Our impact assessments show that 84% of children exited our support with all their basic needs met.
A Community-Driven Success
Our achievements are only possible thanks to the tireless efforts of our volunteers and donors. From the teenagers who raised over £4,100 at the Edinburgh Kiltwalk to the dedicated runners and cyclists tackling marathons and bike rides, your commitment is truly inspiring.
Kipawa remains entirely volunteer-run, meaning every pound raised goes directly to where it is needed most.
