Having run the London marathon in April, the incredible Jimmy Hudson is completing an unbelievable London Double by taking part in Ride London, a 100 mile mass cycle event through the streets of London and Surrey. He is doing this to raise money for Kipawa. Please sponsor him a couple of ££ if you can.
Have you been looking for a New Year Challenge? Do you want to support a great, small charity? Then we have the opportunity for you!
Once again, Kipawa has places in the fantastic 'Ride London' cycling event which takes place on 29th July 2018 and covers 100 miles from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, through the Surrey countryside on closed roads, to Central London, finishing at Buckingham Palace. You may remember the course from the 2012 London Olympics?
Participants who have ridden for us in the past have spoken of the amazing atmosphere and the wonderful sense of achievement at the end. One participant commented that cycling the finish, down The Mall like Bradley Wiggins in the Olympics, with all the crowds cheering, was a particular thrill!
All we ask from you for the chance to take part in this great event is a committment to raise a minimum of £750 in fundraising. Of course we can give you any assistance you need with your fundraising (the cycling training will be down to you!) Why not ask your friends or colleagues if they would like to make up a team and you could share the fundraising and support each other with the training?
We are more than happy to answer any questions you have - just contact us now! Places are limited, so get in touch soon to confirm your place.
Cyclists! We need you and your cycling mates to take part in this fabulous event for Kipawa. Previous participants have said that the atmosphere is amazing and they would heartily recommend taking on the challenge.
Please get in touch if you're interested or know someone who might be!
**** CALLING ALL CYCLISTS!!! ****
Once again, Kipawa has 3 places available in the fabulous 'RideLondon-Surrey 100' road race on Sunday 30th July 2017.
This is a fantastic opportunity for cyclists to follow the route made famous durinig the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The challenge starts in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route, on closed roads, through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside, finishing in The Mall in central London.
Previous riders for Kipawa have always found the 100 miles challenging but exhilarating.
As well as training in the lead up to July, cyclists will be asked to raise a minimum sponsorship for Kipawa of £600. We will, of course, provide any help or advice you need to get going with your fundraising efforts.
Please get in touch if you would like to take part - and share with all your cycling friends!
