Christmas donations

Thank you so much to Gullane Primary School for suggesting in the most recent newsletter that families might want to give a donation to Kipawa* instead of giving Christmas presents to teachers. What a thoughtful and generous idea. To give you and idea of how far your donation can go in Kenya...

• Only £20 buys lunch and porridge for a child at Mukuyu or Oaklands school for a whole school year, helping to keep them healthy and encouraging them to come to school.
  
• £17 would buy a new desk, helping to reduce overcrowding in classrooms and making learning more comfortable for the children.
  
• Just £7 would provide a school uniform for a child in need.
  
• And for only £1, we can provide vital deworming medication to 5 children.
